If you have divorce questions

Background

Hannah Burdine has practiced family law since 2009 and works out of Meriwether & Tharp's Savannah office. Over the course of her career, she has guided hundreds of clients through divorce, child custody disputes, and the difficult financial questions that accompany the end of a marriage, always with an understanding that behind every case file is a person trying to protect their children, their home, and their future.

Hannah handles the full range of domestic relations matters, including contested and uncontested divorce, child custody and parenting plans, child support, alimony, complex property and business valuations, prenuptial agreements, and post-judgment modification and enforcement actions.

Hannah is candid with her clients about the law, and she prepares every case as though it will be tried, because the strongest settlements come from the best-prepared files. At the same time, she believes that effective advocacy is not the same thing as aggression, and that wherever possible the decisions in a case should rest with the client, rather than with a judge who has just met them. Beyond her practice, Hannah has taught continuing legal education courses on legal technology, helping other attorneys understand both the promise and the limits of new tools in serving clients well. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

She is a member of the Georgia Historical Society, and in her spare time she enjoys playing piano and doing historical research in Georgia.
