Meriwether & Tharp LLP was established in 1998 by partners Patrick Meriwether and Robert Tharp. In 2000, the offices were relocated to the Alpharetta/Roswell area, the firm expanded their professional staff, and began focus exclusively on business and family law. The firm provides legal services for individuals and businesses in Georgia and Florida, focusing primarily on the greater Atlanta area, including Fulton, Cobb, Cherokee, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Forsyth counties.

Our attorneys handle all aspects of family law matters from premarital agreements to divorce, child custody, visitation rights, family violence and child support, alimony and modification as well as adoption and paternity issue..

The firm's business practice consists of both litigation and transactional services. Our attorneys routinely handle a variety of business contract disputes, including uniform commercial code disputes, non-compete agreements, landlord tenant disputes and general business litigation. Our transactional experience includes small business startups, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, general and employment contract drafting, commercial leasing and negotiation, business planning and business "divorces" and "corporate estate" planning.
