Courtney H. Carpenter
AttorneyCourtney Henderson Carpenter is an associate with Meriwether and Tharp, LLC and provides representation in all areas of the firm’s family law practice. She joined Meriwether and Tharp, LLC in 2011 bringing with her a passion to help her clients through difficult times in their life.
Courtney attended Kennesaw State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, a Minor in International Affairs and a Certification in Professional Politics. Courtney earned her Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law. While at Emory, Courtney joined the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and volunteered her time at Student Legal Services, a public interest program that provides pro bono legal services to those in need in the Emory community. Additionally, Courtney worked as a research assistant to Professor Victoria F. Nourse, which allowed her to further refine her legal research and writing skills.
Courtney has extensive legal experience, which she gained even before attending law school, working as a legal secretary, and then as a junior paralegal. Her experience enables her to effectively navigate the litigation process. Courtney works diligently to obtain the best result possible for her clients based on their goals.
Courtney resides in Atlanta with her husband, John, and their dog, Chloe.
